AGM & Committee Vacancies 2017
The Societys’ AGM will be held on Sunday 26th March 2017 at Grounds Farm, Wishaw, B76 9PQ at 11.ooam. Nominations are required for the post of Field Trial Secretary and officers for the committee. Nominations for the Committee are required as we may be short of a committee member if the Field Trial Secretary vacancy is filled from the Committee. Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme
The Kennel Club run the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme providing a good level of training for all dogs and owners. It is a non-competitive scheme with standard courses enabling dogs/owners to achieve a Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold award. Barneys Long walk – Update
Barney, along with his owners has completed the walk from Land’s End to John ‘o’ Groats, in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. We congratulate them on this fantastic achievement – they have raised an incredible £28,000, £8,000 from donations and £20,000 from Match a Mile. What a wonderful achievement for Barney along with his owners Jos and Bob Mahon.. Barney a Flatcoated Retriever, along with his owner, are doing a long walk from Lands End to John O’Groats which started on 27th March 2015. In total they have 1200 miles to walk with donations going to Guide Dogs…

Lost Whistles
A message received from Richard Hewison about lost whistles at the AGM. On arriving home from the AGM yesterday, I realised that my whistles were not round my neck, in any pockets nor anywhere in the car, I used them to excercise 3 of our dogs in the Lunch Hour and remember taking them off together with my coat when we got back to the car. blue tape lanyard ( Terra EcpSystems embroidered in white) a retriever whistle, a spaniel whistle and a little stainless steel pill containing capsule.
