Introduction
Its all about the Shows!
Flatcoats are such a versatile breed and entering a show is one of the many events you can choose to participate in.
The Flatcoated Retriever Society has a dedicated team of individuals “The judges and show sub-committee” and we work hard to host several events.
We hold a breed Open show and a breed Championship show each year and as from 2024 we will be holding two Championship shows each year. We are also responsible for ensuring that our upcoming judges have the best access to support and mentoring to enable them to progress their judging careers.
Showing your flatcoat is highly enjoyable and rewarding and is part of understanding the breed and enables you to acquire the knowledge to breed exhibits conforming to the breed standard and retaining our flatcoats true qualities.
It is a highly sociable hobby and at Championship Show level is where you will see the most flatcoats and owners together; so please come along to either watch, learn or participate, it is always a pleasure to welcome new flatcoat owners.
