General Committee Meeting 17/10/21 Update

The General Committee met for their first face to face meeting since February 2020. Three new members were welcomed on to the Committee, Steve Ashby, Jenny Campbell and Kelly Holland. Vacant Committee positions were discussed, Heather Harley has taken over as the administrator of the 250 Club and Charlotte Wear is taking over responsibility for the running of the Society shop. Both Jane Jones and Sarah Egginton have said that they would like to give up the editorship of the Yearbook and Newsletter respectively after this year.   Andrew Sweeney sends the following report: Intermediate and Veteran Tests 2021 The United Retriever Club (North Midland Area) held a Cold Game Test on 1st August 2021 at The Slips, Caunton, Notts by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Derrick Smith. The judges were Charlotte Jeffrey and Mandy Minshall. The tests involved retrieves on pigeons and partridges. The weather was cloudy with a heavy downpour in the morning. There were 30 entries. Shirley Oxford has sent the following information regarding a dog activity themed event she is organising: Dog Day * Sunday 29th August at Cocking Village Hall (between Chichester and Midhurst). Activities will include, Training, Showing, Agility and Basic Emergency First Aid. FCRS Walked Up and Water Training 10 July with Norman and Sandra Onens (Kestrelway Gundogs), Nr Evesham, Worcestershire.
