Report and Results from The Shirley Radburn National Working Tests June 26th 2021

The Shirley Radburn National Working Tests  were held at Manor Farm, Hill Croome, Worcestershire by kind permission of Toby and Alison Spires and generously sponsored by Skinner’s Pet Foods Ltd. The weather was almost perfect for a working test, light cloud, intermittent sunshine, not too hot and a nice breeze. Update following the General Committee Meeting on May 27th 2021 A discussion took place about the current high prices being charged for Flatcoat puppies by some breeders. The General Committee recommend that the maximum price to be charged for a puppy should not exceed £1500 and this advice is reflected in the current guidance document on the Society website. The FCRS held the first “Introduction to Field Trials” in Somerset by kind permission of Dr Tim Woodgate-Jones on 13th June. I hope all who attended have a little more insight into how a walked up trial and a driven trial operate. Update from short Zoom meeting 29th April 2021

  Helen Ford was co opted as the new Field Trial Secretary, and both she and new committee member (2020 AGM) Lauren Broome were welcomed on to the General  Committee.   There were forty three returned ballot papers for the 2020 AGM and these were counted. There was a massive majority who voted to adopt the 2019 accounts and the two propositions.
